As everyone says it's down to personal preference.

That’s the concept. You’re personalized approach. Pulling red accents from grill, lid, mirror wheel caps and pin stripe.

The more I wrestle with it, I’m thinking of going metallic silver wheel finish with a “shelby” like Silver pair bumper to bumper. I have hard top… bonnet/roof/boot.

I think if you're 17, wear your cap on backwards, play music in your car so loud the widows vibrate and let your trousers hang off your arse then stripes on your car is the way to go.

Huh… that would be true for louder exhaust, improve intakes and wheels that are shiny.

Are anything necessary on our Z3?

How about what ever you like. It's your car after all.

Nothing quite like that level of overspray to point up the quality of a job.
See, managed it without abuse. Or laughter. Still, can't see it with the bonnet shut. Puts me in mind of the people that decide to paint their calipers without even a scrap of masking, let alone taking them off and cleaning them first. Each to their own.:bag:

Looks like he took off the oil filler cap; orange internals will be unusual.

Worked for a company in the early 80’s where the reps had Allegros, the main man had a Princess and we had Marina vans, it was a good job the main dealer was literally a stones throw away as they spend a good amount of time in there being repaired!
My first day of inauguration was out with a crew to Devon from Bristol in a new Sherpa van ……….it didn’t make the round trip and we had to get a Taxi back to Bristol after we had a few pints to cool down after walking for miles in the middle of nowhere.

The Allagro simply lived up to its name.
I did like the estate version though.

I actually drove an Aggro a few times, even though I'm 'only' 56!
I had a girlfriend in the late '80s who had one of the last produced; a 1982 model. The car, not her!
It was bloody awful to drive; she was OK, though! 🤭

In 1975 a colleague bought a brand new one, complete with "square" steering wheel. He had engine bay and underneath covered in anti rust wax. Likely a good idea as my 1969 MGBGT was already rusting at the time. Good old BL. :(
