Upgraded axles

As the title states I need upgraded axles. What are my options? I had a 4.1 lsd and broke the stock BMW left axle. I replaced it with an autozone one and broke it again a week later (likely due to my poor installation. I replaced it with another autozone one and it was fine for about a month. But I recently welded a 3.73 and installed it and the same axle is on its way out. The right one is the one stock original one and has never given me any problems. But I will definitely need an upgrade. Is there any BMW with a stronger axle the can be retrofitted like a Z3m? Or any suggestions for a company that makes upgraded axles

Can the axle from a 3.0 fit on my 2.8 coupe? I read that they are stronger but I couldn’t find an answer to if they would fit across platforms. Are any other components different that would prevent this from happening?

According to realoem.com the shafts on a 2.8 Coupe are shared across these models

The shafts on a 3.0 Coupe only found on that model

This isn't definitive I'm afraid, but may point you in the vague direction you're going.

If you've not spent any time on realoem.com then it's worth a look! If you don't have the last 7 digits of your VIN you can browse through the models, which is handy for cross referencing parts like I did above.
