I was fortunate to receive a TOM TOM Sat Nav for Christmas, thank you Alex and Maria,
so all I had to now do was choose a radio. I chose the Sony MEX-N6002BD. Reasons, DAB radio, hands free for mobile phone (x2) and USB port. The colour of the LED is also interchangeable therefore I set the colour as sunset to match dash lights.
When fitting my son highlighted that the heating control lights were not working. Purchased x2 new bulbs - code no. 61138353797, what a chew to fit especially if you drop a bulb behind where the radio sits. The cigarette lighter bulb was also found out of sink but working, this was refitted as required. Following this we noticed that the lights for the gear change were intermittently working. I checked the forums out, removed the gear knob and removed the auto gear change panel. The fault was a 3 pinned plug which was not souldered in position. The unit was stripped down re-souldered and refitted as required. All cock pit lights are now working okay, yippee. Images posted below.
