Mick, following on from our chat earlier is it the chrome bars in your profile pic? Those in the profile pic are for show only and won't offer any additional protection. BMW didn't make chrome hoops just the rubber coloured black hoops, and the only chrome hoops with German TUV approval were made by AC Schnitzer. Sorry for not spotting your profile picture earlier.

Found this on the Web of a Z3 that rolled 5 times in the USA. The cockpit looks in good Nik but I wouldn't have want to have been in it.

Hi Gaz. yes i did think them to be a bit on the thin side with the tube wall thickness when fitting in the car .If it bothers me long term i now have a pattern to take off of i would think that they should be braced backwards towards the trunk/boot also. Many thanks for your input appreciated:thumbsup:.Cheers .Mick.

Hoops are accessories, your windscreen surround is your protection.

My head sticks up above the roll bars. So the car may be largely intact but you may struggle to realise it in the event of an accident.

The cars seem very stable i was interested to see if anyone had rolled .Not to concerned it depends how reckless the car is driven, i would think you stand more chance of getting hit by a bus.
Cheers .
Mick.

In your case Mike, I think the footwell is your protection when you slip from the booster seat.
 One back for @t-tony =))
