Took the battery out today to charge and while cleaning the pit think I dislodged a pipe as attached picture.
Any advice where this should connect to?
Looks like a drain pipe of some kind.

It's the battery vent from battery's of yesteryear as it's in the boot. No longer required.

Some batteries do still have a vent pipe, OEM ones do and so does my Duracell. Check to see if there is a breather hole.

And again, I have two new batteries on two of my zeds, they both have a breather hole at each side of the battery one of which will be plugged (red plug in the photo) the other breather hole has the little pipe you show going into it. If necessary swop the plug over to the other side if the exposed breather hole is on the wrong end.
