Unless you are completely rust free you'll need to remove and treat any rust first. COvering it up with any seal or wax wont cure the corrosion, maybe retard it for a while.
Bilt Hamber Products I've used are quite good. Grind off 90% of rust. USe a Deox Gel to eat into the rest and/orHydrate 80 to chemically change and cure whats left. Paint with mastic paint or covering of your choice. Waxoyl for further protection and waterproof barrier.
Also, with the factory underseal (unless you have an import) - if you see a small spot of rust or split seal, you can guarantee that when you peel that back it will have gone behind more than you think.

Hi All, Been a long time lurker on here with sporadic participation. Well my wife's 'dream car' has been sat in the garage for 3 years. Just didn't need 2 cars and passed last MOT fine (maybe corroded brake pipes on the advisories). But I've always thought after 156,000 miles (we got at 86k)...

The main thing to do is remove the outer cills and see what state the inner, structural cills are in, particularly on the ends and in behind where the rear beam mountings are in the front of the rear wheel wells.
