Unless you are completely rust free you'll need to remove and treat any rust first. COvering it up with any seal or wax wont cure the corrosion, maybe retard it for a while.

Bilt Hamber Products I've used are quite good. Grind off 90% of rust. USe a Deox Gel to eat into the rest and/orHydrate 80 to chemically change and cure whats left. Paint with mastic paint or covering of your choice. Waxoyl for further protection and waterproof barrier.

Also, with the factory underseal (unless you have an import) - if you see a small spot of rust or split seal, you can guarantee that when you peel that back it will have gone behind more than you think.

HAve a look at my thread, and the can o worms that I opened ........and mine wasn't too bad.

The main thing to do is remove the outer cills and see what state the inner, structural cills are in, particularly on the ends and in behind where the rear beam mountings are in the front of the rear wheel wells.

Post up some pics so we can either feel jealous of the condition of yours, or better about our own:D

Personally I would not use an underseal use a wax product such as Waxoyl or Lanoguard etc.

The main problem with underseal seems to be that the corrosion can carry on as normal but you can't see it or get to it because its behind the underseal.
