A great few days away in the Lake district with a dedicated day to a good run round.
Setting off from our accommodation in Bowness, following the Windermere shore line through Newby bridge we headed off to our first stop at Coniston, after a stroll around Consiton we returned for refreshments at the Blue bird café. Great place to spend a couple of hours. We then headed of to Ambleside took the long way round through Keswick onto Troutbeck, Patterdale stopping at Glen riding for more refreshments. Kirkstone pass next, stopped for ice cream, pity the Kirkstone inn is no more! then dropped down into Windermere calling off at Holehird Gardens really superbly kept mainly by volunteers (No tea and cake though) and back to Bowness a total of 7 hours great locations and great Zedding, the most amazing thing, no rain just wall to wall sunshine and 75 degrees
Blue bird Cafe, named after you guessed it Bluebird (the boat not the bird)

Nice one Paul, I was out myself today but on my bike as Bella is still up on ramps having stuff done, a superb day for it. Bluebird is on the list of things to do
