Not sure where BMW are going looks wise these days, the latest stuff in the saloon range in the showrooms are just plain ugly, this is no better IMHO.

When the e60 came out I took an instant dislike to it , and got a 335i Years later I happily got a e61

I'm not sure how much I like it. And I agree an X6 screams get out of my way, perhaps I'll save up for one then...

But I suspect BMW are ahead of us all on the curve when it comes to knowing what their customers want. So I expect these looks will be accepted as the norm soon enough.

The X6 is an abomination imho. Shouts new money 'Get out of my way you plebs' attitude. Can't say I like any modern BMW styling to be honest.

Oh thought we were talking about Cookers! you mean Grill as on cars!!! I drove a X3 which has massive Kidney Grills, You don't notice them when your driving it though but you do notice people pointing at them when you drive past!!!

I agree the styling of the front is very aggressive, however, the X range is competing in a market along with the likes of the Mercedes GL family and the Range Rover Sport which all have the aggressive look in their own way.
I’m sure the designers are aware of what they are achieving.
Everyone condemned the style of the Ford Sierra, however, they sold quite a few of those.

Thank god their selling their six pots to Japan for the Supra which is more pleasing to the eye. I’ve been put off with their styling for some years now. Won’t get me back until they change this ugly front end they seem to be exaggerating with every new model, but then I’m old school and don’t agree with change just to keep up with the rest. Even the new Z4 was an opportunity missed in my book. BMW have lost some of their individuality, that’s one reason I love the Zs and all the older( “M” ) cars, I think BMW are now just run of the mill with body design.
