Just ordered replacement tyres

Falcon ZE912's

245/40 R17 for the back
225/45 R17 XL for the front - the extra means extra load (which I think means the side wall is stronger and stiffer.

The 245 rear are not available in XL, and the 225 front only in XL, do you think this could cause an imbalance when cornering?

I think you will find the XL tyres will be slightly wider than the standard 225 also... :-\

I guess you'll let us know....good or bad.

My last tyre change were Falkens 912's and I was (am) really pleased....it was like driving another (but more stable) car.
Can't recall if they were 'XL's' though (without looking).

Had the ZE912's on for a few days now, and it's like driving a completely different car. :)
Tram-lining vastly reduced, and I no longer feel like I'm about to be chucked into the nearest hedge when driving the local country lanes.
Corning still seems very good, although still running the tyres in, so haven't really pushed the Z too hard yet.
