Avon ..good balance of price and performance. Stopped the tramlining I experience on my previous tyres too. I have ZV7s I think

I have Cinturato 225/50 R16 92V all round; no problems and seem to do the job and wear well.

Lots of good tires, I bought Michelin Pilot Sport 4 all season and drove them about 5000 miles this summer, they are very good.

Is there anyone who uses 205 s which are recommended by tyre makers .??
We have 205s on our car that seem fine for the country lane cruising that we mostly do. They were on the car when we got it & are a spurious make called Accelera that we have never heard of, having said that the car seems to ride well enough on them although we've no idea what they are like in the wet. When we change them would probably go for either Avon or Falken as both are reasonably priced without been too cheap & seem to be well liked by Z owners.

Hi Ian.thanks for the info, glad to hear that 205s are ok,a big difference in price from 225s which seem very popular.

I suppose most go for the 225s because they are a bit wider so probably a bit more grip, I guess it depends what kind of driving you do. I'm no expert but suspect that unless you are really pushing the care a lot or ragging it round a track 205s should be fine & as you say big difference in price.

Looks like that Ian, I am a bit too old to push anything,no motorways, mostly country road cruising here in the north of Scotland.

If you've got the relatively skinny 16s then you'ld probably best stick to 205s, the 17 wheels are a bit wider and take a suitably wider tyre.
I have 16 inch on at the moment with 225 tyres but was thinking of 205s that the tyre suppliers recommend for Avon zv7,a lot cheaper than the 225s.
