Tyres Pressure Checks.

I'm pretty confident that in over 30 years of motoring a garage/tyre fitter has yet to inflate my tyres post service or tyre change to the correct pressure or has under/over inflated them

The C-in-C had 4 new boots on while I was away and had the car serviced a couple of days later by a different garage. Just been out to do my P.O.W.E.R check prior to visiting the rellies and ......... between 34psi - 38.5psi when the TD4 manual clearly states 30psi all round with up to 4 peeps and luggage. I need my angry trousers

My take on this is if they're missing out such basic checks/corrections what else are they not doing

MOST if not all tyre fitters use the bad practice of blowing a tyre onto the rim and a quick cursory glance at the gauge and if it's not "low" it's OK. In our workshop we have service sheets on which we have to document the tyre pressures at service, maybe it ought to be applied in the tyre bay too.

Yup. Only a small detail mate but it annoys me
