Tyre/wheel size

I am sure this has been asked but I can’t find it.

Are the wheels and therefore the tyres larger on the back of all Z3?

Mine has 225/45/17 on the front
And
245/40/17 on the back

Standard was a square 16" set-up with 225 all round I think. Staggered 17s were an option from new.

Your wheels look like Genuine BMW Style 18 a popular Z3 wheel choice,
if you have 7.5“ x 17” wheels on the front the tyre size is 225/45/17
if you have 8.5” x 17” wheels on the rear, the tyre size is 245/40/17
