Hi all,
Since I've changed my wheels and tyres I'm not sure what the pressures should be as my handbook doesn't cover the new size nor does the label inside the drivers door.
Pirelli P Zero Nero all round, 225/40/18 Front, 255/35/18 Rear
Can anyone help please.

First thing I would do is check what pressure the tyre fitter left them at, mostly it's at whatever the tyre "popped" onto the rim at ! (could be as much as 40 psi). Personally I would start with 34 front and 38 rear and see how that feels.

Nice to know tyre fitters know their job and send you out with completely the wrong pressures. I assumed they would put set them correctly. I'll be checking mine before I drive off now.

I never trust tyre fitters or car dealers, When I bought my Zed from a well known BMW dealer, one of the first checks on getting home was tyre pressures. They were all about 28 psi. I have just had two new rears fitted and on checking at home they were both about 30.

Please note I did say see how you go from there. Personally I think 28 all round on a rear wheel drive car is wrong and too soft, but, if it suits your driving style that's ok. If you run pressure too low you will roll the edges off your tyres way before you run out the centre. I run my tyres a couple of pounds higher at this time of year than during the cooler months too.

I initially set the pressure at 32 when I put the 18s on but took advice off a mechanic to drop the pressure to alleviate the tram lining issue as it would give a little movement in the narrow side walls, it worked

Have found over the years that tire brand play a big part in tire pressures I run. Finding their sweet spot takes some time and patience but some are softer and some are harder compounds so it's a no perfect pressure for all!! JIM

32 front and 38 rear for me if I remember correctly. Haven't played around with the pressures to be honest - just set as recommended.
Just done one of the kids bikes 50 front and rear  and that was with a hand pump. :arghh:
Am amazed they don't explode! :nailbiting:

Only reason I put mine up to 34 front was it was starting to take out the tyre edges.
