Just bought a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup for my new Z3M roadster 255x40x17 for the back and 225x45x17 for the front. Anyone had any experience of the tyres, and size combo?

To be honest I dont drive round in a style that I could explore the handling.
I just like pressing the loud peddle now and again. :)

I have Mitchelin Pilot Super Sport (which I guess are similar in quality) on a different car 275x20x10.5 all round and there is very little sign of wear after 15000 miles, I am expecting to get at least 50000 miles from a set of four, which are due to be flipped to even wear back and front for the next 15,000 miles, all being well. If you do choose Mitchelin Pilot Sport keep your eye on the rears on the Z3 and flip the rear tyres (not wheels), right - left, every 3000 miles, and you should achieve very good mileage, unless your intending to sink the shoe more often than not?

David.
