Ok guys, I'm at the end of my styling modding and need to concentrate on something, so looking at BHP, first thing that springs to mind is the M50 b25 inlet manifold as I have the single VANOS M52, what parts do I need and are there any pit falls, your help is greatly appreciated as this is my weakness

You'll wish you did it sooner once it's fitted! As said the M50B25 manifold, you'll also need this kit from ebay to make life easier.

The only other thing you need to worry about it joining the CCV to your existing system.

Once you've done the manifold get the TB bored out 3mm, this makes a big difference. We got my dads 2.8 up to 224bhp on the dyno with all these mods.

Just did this to mine (after having the manifold for years in the shed). Really wish I did ages ago.

Bored out TB and ASC hopefully here this week.
You’ll need the remap (that on its own was noticeable)

There is a guy on eBay that was offering the whole lot (manifold, pipes, ECU) at a good deal.
The bored out TB and ASC Ive ordered from https://ebay.co.uk/usr/sneakapeak99
He can do exchange units for a deposit.

You’ll need the remap as well (that on its own was noticeable even without the manifold - just don’t go for the raised rev limiter!)

Will see if I can find him.

Just saw these, equal length headers(?) for £132?!
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/153524695403

Probably for LHD but could work with some modifications for RHD?
Way cheaper than custom made ones here (been quoted over 1k for high quality work but that is too much for small gains)
Oooooohhhhhh, they look the biz and I would buy them now if I knew they would fit, I can imagine there will be quite a difference due to the steering column being on the opposite side

I assume I will need a throttle body adapter plate, if the TB is bored out does it require a larger butterfly

It's all part of the service, they bore the throttle body and make a bigger butterfly.

Lee, I have seen a couple of the manifolds with the TB from the 2.5, does this work

yes single vanos (twin cam as they all are though)
Not sure if trickier. It doesn’t have that fly by wire nonsense- proper throttle control.
The adaptor plate is still needed.
The 2.5 TB is not as big as the 2.8 one - some sellers sell them together with the manifold, just ask them to keep it and reduce price or take it and sell it on (don’t think the 2.5 TB is worth much, might be wrong a while since I looked at it all).
