Trunk space

I thoight the trunk on the z3 was pretty good size for a small car, until yesterday. I found out my fencing bag was this much __________________ too long to fit in it, lol. So, I had a passenger up front with me. There was plenty of room for my masks and other gear, maybe I can put my foils and sabers in without the bag...

When I first got my Zed I found that I couldn't get my air rifle in the trunk (boot here in the UK) so had to have it in the passenger seat well

My BSA Airsporter being solid barrel (under lever type) wouldn’t go in mine either, haven’t tried it in the Z4 yet.

Not sure tbh mate, i bought it 2nd hand from a shop in Gainsborough with my first weeks wage back in 1972. I've also got 2 BSA .177 breaking barrel type which I think wee called "Cadettes"?.
I also have a Webley .22 pistol. This one lives in my bedside cabinet with "one up the spout" just needing the barrel to be "loaded" because you never know . . . .

Let me know the first 2 letters of the serial number and I can look it up for you. I used to have a Mk2 but sold it to Jill's brother along with a BSA Mercury. Currently I've only got the one BSA, 4 x Weihrauch's and 4 x Original (formally Diana) Model 50's

The good news is that I got 30 mpg on my trip to fencing, at 70 mph average speed. Better than I had expected,

These are mine Garry. The only number I could see was on the underside of that barrel.

This was my weapon of choice, airarms s410 carbine, 10 shot precharge, I do have an old break barrell in the outhouse somewhere, think it's a foreign make, it's got a black stock and silver barrel

My very first rifle was a BSA meteor, got it from my mams catalogue and was paying for it out of my pocket money, the police confiscated it after I had owned it for 3 weeks, trespassing with a firearm, :(

@t-tony your airsporter is a Mk VI, calibre 0.22 and made between 1979 and 1983.

Will there be a similar number on those mate, in the same place? I'm going to have them all out in the garage tomorrow and apply some 3 in 1 oil. The Airsporter felt very tight when I "cocked" it earlier, and I haven't used any of them for a good few years.

Tony.

ps. Tom, @DelGue apologies for hijacking your "Boot" thread mate.

On a lot of early air rifles you had to remove the mechanism from the stock to read the serial number. They weren't always marked in the same place either

Cheers for that, I'll remove the stocks if need be. I think one is considerably older than the other. And, they have proper screws in them with a slot across the top
