Write Up Trip through the Pyrenees to Spain

Went on Holiday with Mozza on the 1/9/18.
Left the Tunnel and drove to Angers in France then onto Irun in Spain for 2 nights near the Pyrenees, had a day out in San Sebastian. On the Tuesday we drove to Jaca on the Spanish side of the Pyrenees. Then on the Wednesday we drove to Javea on the Costa Blanca where we stayed for 7 days. We then headed upto Boltana where we spent 2 nights before stopping at Tours and catching the Train back on the Saturday.
A total of 3042 miles covered mainly top down as only got caught in one down pour.
Bad side was returned to find a speeding fine from our July trip to Germany for 35 Euros for doing 46kph in a residential area then today received another one for doing 130kph on the motorway in Spain.

Its a lovely area Mike. We will definitely do it again loads of off the beat roads you can explore

How does it compare with the Alps?
Must be a lot cheaper for food, accommodation and tolls?

Its not as dramatic as the Alps but i think it is more picturesque and no tolls to pay. We stayed in a 4 star and 5 star hotel costing around £70 per night so yes Hotels, food, drink and fuel a lot more cheaper.
France is now around 1.55 euro a litre and around 5 euro a pint of beer and Spain is around 1.35 euro a litre and 3 to 4 euro a pint

We have not done Andorra yet but are hoping to the next couple of years
