Hi all, I'm not sure what it's called and please for that forgive me, but I am after the trim insert that basically is door cappings, centre console trim and the trim fascia from the dash, where mine is brushed aluminium I am seeking piano black and must be in immaculate condition. My model is a Z4 (E89) S-drive 35i.
Thanks in advance
John

I would start by checking specialist BMW breakers on the internet. It's unlikely that someone will have removed a black set to replace with something else.

Tony.

I know piano black for the E85/6 are like rocking horse doo dahs and priced to match0, but you could consider having yours smoothed and painted. It's going to have to come out anyway, and if the prices are what I'd expect them to be it may be cost effective.

That has just given me a cracking idea, I have the number of a company who do excellent hydrographic printing or may be even just get them wrapped as then I can return them to stock when/if I sell.

Thanks Gaz

I had the bottom console around the gear lever on mine wrapped, and looks spot on. Was going to do the dash panels, but I managed to find some OEM leather covered ones to replace the awful dated brushed alloy.

I'm not looking forward to removing existing panels without marking or distorting them, do ya reckon the wrap company will do that for me?
I've never had anything at all to do with anything like this before, in my day there were two choices....cellulose or twopac

If you pay them I'm sure they will. Would imagine a fair few customers opt for that, may even be a chance they can wrap them in situ.
God I love this site.....even if I do keep getting my knuckles rapped (to the man who keeps telling me off... that was a joke:whistle:)

Gaz may I push my look one step further? Can you give me a rough idea of what it cost you to get your centre console wrapped?

I gave it to him in bits, it he did the centre console part, door handles and spoiler for about £100. He was supposed to do more, but as I found the leather parts he didn’t need to do them and I never quibbled the bill.

That sounds really good value for a good job

I'll let you know how I get on next time I'm on here which unfortunately may be a week or two as my health has been going downhill for a wee while now and having no family or friends here so no support network, my doctor is putting me in hospital for a respite break and has urged me to get complete rest and I've given my word so I'll see you all at the other side.
Drive carefully everyone.
John
