This is the cottage on the river bank where Shirl's grandfather (and his 10 siblings) were born.

Meanwhile back at the Lock it's almost up to the tea pots.

Big spring tides due on the Trent for a few days and loads of water on the fields to drain into the Fosse Dyke still.

Tony.

Not be long before you can take the photos from your living room window ;)

Thankfully a dry sunny day today. Will all be in trouble if we get much more any time soon.

Next 3 or 4 days round here should be mostly dry thankfully.

Tony.

No need for a lock! Blimey: these look shockingly bad. Have you @t-tony and Shirl webbed feet because at this rate, you’ll be swimming to the Shed to check if the water grip is working!!! =))

Yesterday afternoon my mate came to service his Fabia. The garage was dry when he put the door up, then the Skud dropped all over and the breeze blew some wet in. Overall a huge improvement on water 5mm deep halfway across the floor like it used to be. The front lawn was standing water this morning too.

Tony.
