I want to buy several things for my zed but all of them are very expensive and I don't know what to buy first :(

Here's a list of things that I *need* =)) to buy:
- A better exhaust
- A nice gear knob
- Stoneguards (maybe)
- Tonneau Cover
- Wind deflector latch (as mine is broken - since I've had the car never had the wind deflector on)
- Seats need re-dying or get sport seats...
- Arches, sills and bonnet need to be sprayed (no rush as I'm sure they'll hold for a fair few years)
- Buy and fit a clutch stop/buffer (to reduce the distance it takes to disengage the clutch
- Get new wheels (have the standard zed wheels at the moment - they look heavily dated - but also original):p

If I had an unlimited budget then all of that would be done within a day.

But I dont. :(

So, if you could pick 3 out the list which would you pick?

I want to make a priority list of things that I can do to the zed on say a monthly basis.

I also want to wrap the interior - at least parts of it. In carbon fiber - wondering whether anyone has done that before?

Quite a list my young zed friend :wideyed:
for me it would be first, wind deflector latch, new wheels and then the exhaust.
I think most of us have a list, can you believe some people want a quad exhaust =)).

@Bozzy I saw your post about the quad exhaust, that is something I will love to see on the 1.9 =)) How did you block the wheel carrier hole in the trunk floor? Spare wheel is useless - just adds unnecessary weight and also ruins the look of the car. But I've also heard that the tyre weld will permanently ruin your tyres even though the manufacturer denies it (that is what google says anyway)

I would concentrate on mechanical things or broken items before bling
My car still looks identical looks wise since the day I bought it spent all my funds on getting it up to scratch mechanical wise.
Only exterior thing I have bought is a new bonnet badge.
Rome wasn't built in a day iam sure you will get there eventually.
Always difficult spending especially if you own other cars as well.

I came up with some high tech manufacturing to block the holes in the boot floor.......some very neatly cut insulating tape ;)=)).
It's just temporary till I can think of a better solution Faheem :)

As the winter is round the corner go with the smaller cost items.
Seats can wait until you find the right style.
Wheels again wait until the right set comes along.
Tonneau's come on the market very offen.
Gear knob is an easy job.
Stoneguards cheap to purchase and help change the look

@tracydee Mechanically my work on the car is complete. I've spent what feels like billions on the car to get it up to scratch mechanically. Most things that could be replaced at a reasonable cost have been. Both Control arms. Shock Mounts. Tyres. Brake lines. Brake pads (front) All vacuum tubes. Fuel Filter. Anti Roll bar links. All sensors. (rear pads and all discs were replaced only a couple of years ago) I know for a fact that there is a lot more that I've done! =)) But I can't remember now o_O Coolant has been flushed a million times till it's crystal pink. After 10-15k more miles I'll replace the entire cooling system including the water pump, radiator and all hoses. But until then I've decided against any mechanical work.

The only thing I'm working on a fix for is the boot not locking via the central locking.

Now it's a case of splashing money for cosmetic purposes. :D

It afford a better, quicker and smoother take off, apparently mate. Happy with mine as standard but others report it's a better getaway once fitted. Raises the bite I think?

Well if in tip top then why not have a treat
I know what you mean I have spent almost a grand in a year with discs still to do oh and a poly diff bush which I purchased way back but still needs fitting.
Not many are ever going to swoon over a 1.9 so think I will keep mine as original as possible just get a wheel refurb in the distance future as I rather like the wheels I have when it's all finished mechanically if ever of course. :p
Hope you get what your heart desires after all the mechanical expense which goes unnoticed.
Tracy.
