None of that happens. I'm guessing that what ever switch let's the transmission know I've moved the shift lever is either no good or the wiring / power for same is not there. Didn't know if this was a common problem and it's just a bad fuse or if I'm looking for a bigger problem. Waiting on a service manual now.At rest when the lever is moved across to "manual" mode the display will show this.

As opposed to this when in "Auto" mode.

This tells you that ""Sport" mode is selected which is done automatically when you select "manual".
When in "manual" the display will show "M" and a number 1,2,3 etc. depending which is selected as below.

Does your car do all of this?
Tony.
Yes I do. Will scan tomorrow. Weather here has been crappy for working on a car in the driveway. Rain and 40* f. Great day for a drive in Europe.Yes it would point that way. Do you have a code reader to read the on-board computer?
Tony.
