One of our friends in the village had a short fight with cancer earlier this year,and one of the last thing he planned but had been talking about for years was starting a tractor run from the village. After a load of planning we had it yesterday a day after his birthday. It was incredible over 150 tractors turned up to support the cancer ward in the hospital that probably gave him a few mor months with us.Country life he was a regular in the pub next door where the run started we had a party afterwards where we ran out of beer twice and had to go to another pub to get a couple of barrels,he would of been proud ;)

Where did all those people come from? When we come to Carno we only see you and Sarah and a few people in the pub =))

Brilliant idea. I was lucky, I won my battle but I always think of those that were not so lucky. Things like this keep their memory alive, so good on you all. Sounds like he would have approved!
 
I'm more than used to following tractors but I wouldn't fancy being at the back of that queue =))

Some are quite rare and I have to say not all of them made it around but it’s all part of the fun .The main road part was only 500yds then it was country lanes and tracks

What a great idea, I can see a few tractors that I recognise from when I started out as an Apprenticed Agricultural Engineer way back in the early 70's. The little grey Fergie, the Fordson Dexta and the Ford Super/Power Major and some Massey Ferguson models. I wouldn't have a clue about these modern monsters though Hugh. Is it going to be an annual event?

Would like to think so but as you know is takes some organising but like your run it may take on a will of its own with the right people behind it :).it will be difficult to do it as epic as this again I’ve a spare tractor if you fancy it Massey 165...
 
You never know mate, yes a 165 was of my time.=)). Though I have to say my favourite would be a 188 Multi-Power.:)
