Completed my first trackday in the Z yesterday, both me and my dad attended in out 3.0l's.
We decided to do Bedford autodrome as its a very large track with huge run offs.
With a little prep to the cars mine benifiting from a minor service, yellow stuff pads, and lowering all round of a set of eibach pro lowering springs.
My dad simlar but instead of lowering putting on his rear upper and lower braces.
It was a very frosty cold morning but dry thankfully with sun.
After our briefing the frost had gone and it was time to play, albeit very cold with the roof down.
I took it steady early on as id never drove RWD on tack.
The car felt very nice smooth and planted so started to gain abit of confidence on every lap.
Felt very good with everything then we were called of for lunch.
With full belly lined up at the start i was ready for full attack mode!
Off i when for roughly ten laps (3.8miles each) and wow what a buzz im honestly astonished what the car is capable off. Just throwing it in to anything great power and grip bits off understeer oversteer everything it was great! But never felt uncontrolable, got some great slides on coming out the bends.
Overall highly recommends the circuit for any novices, very flat great straights, nothing to hit wide track. Over the moon and cant wait too book on another in the new year.

Hi Adam. Did you put special tyres on, or just use your normal road ones? How much does it cost to do the track day mate? Phil

Glad you had a good time, these cars are a blast to drive. Some good pics too. Is that brake smoke in one of the last pics?

I do believe those were my rondalls at one point :)

Yep, they were mine, I sold them to Guy. I bought these last year and had them refurbished, I was going to use them but a brake kit put a stop to that.

Man that looks like fun.
Can't believe how much front end bite you getting on such a cold day, it's leaning in like MK2 golf, almost ready to cock the back wheel!

Those rondells look great on track!
