No I’m not starting my own version of Top Gear caravan destruction!

Now that we have a family bus capable of towing (Ford Smax with towbar) looking to try out ‘vanning’

Not keen on motor homes, prefer to park and have the car.

Anyone have experience with any ‘van rental places they could share?

No specific idea on van rental places, but had a touring 'van for about 7 years and had a great time with the kids when they were young. Much more flexible a holiday when you have kids, and you don't end up as damp and miserable as you would when camping!

If we like it might look at buying one as there are storage places fairly local to us and if you buy used you don’t tend to lose too much depreciation but want to try it out first before going the whole mile!

If you Google touring caravan hire, there are quite a few places. I don't have any recent experience but many years ago we used to hire a caravan every year for our holiday. We towed it behind our Triumph Spitfire, even went up porlock hill one day.
