Tornado GR4 Tail Number 307 has arrived! Made from the melted down 27mm Mauser Cannons and Nickel coated with the stand taken from the Fan Blades. The mighty Two Man Two Fan Swing Wing Angel of Death Lives on. She's called 'Pops' after the Old Man (RIP) ❤❤

I was with 19 and 92 Squadrons for 3 years at RAF Wildenrath in the late 1980's who flew Phantoms. Happy days.:)

We had Phantoms at Bruggen when the Old Man was Stationed there in the 70's IIRC, then the Jags then Tornado.

Lovely bit of work Andy. The context in which it was made is what makes it so good.
Sad they are no longer flying, but, that's probably no bad thing with the spares bins repurposed like that.

Indeed mate, like the Harrier, a great platform that was good for many more years. It's a shame but there will be 999 winners out of this, and I'm one

Looks superb in the flesh :scorecard:
