Inspiration taken from another forum dedicated to a popular german hatchback and one of the more popular threads.
Top mods done for under a tonne:
Smoked side markers, I have a black car and it really neatens up the front end. Alot more streamlined and blends with the bumper nicely. (search ebay for z3 side markers, theres loads of them)
Carbon fibre vinyl side grilles. Looked really nice against a black car. picture Vinyl bought from here: http://www.carbonmods.co.uk for about £20 inc postage. More than enough for 2 bonnet grills (and a toilet seat (people moaned it was too cold)). Also looks nice on mirrors clicky (neither is quite finished, part way through process so dont be put off by the wrincles)
Pressed number plates, I have a set of these although not on the car yet. Look nice and give it a bit more of a euro style. Bought from http://dubmeister.co.uk/uk-legal-plates/
Other things i can think of are LED replacement marker/reg plate/interior lights, the referb steering wheel (if anyone saved the link from .net please post it), Lamin-x gunsmoke on the lights (marmite mod).
Put the thread here because it seemed the most relevant place, mods feel free to move it where you see fit.
