Hi all, thanks for more welcomes. Some really great ideas here. I've decided to upgrade the door lock pins and went from the standard black to some carbon fibre BMW logo pins with chrome surround that I got from Latvia. What do you think?

I like those Jase, I'm a bit of a Jackdaw when it comes to bling!. Do you have a link to the seller please?

Thanks,

Tony.

Oh my goodness they're beautiful. And the handbrake lever as well!
Not only beautiful, but tactile and makes a big difference to the notchy gear change (along with removing the clutch delay valve and changing the gearbox oil_

Yes, I read that it helps with the notchy gearbox - something which I dislike quite a lot in my Zed. Does it really make that much of a difference? If so, how come?
I've already removed the clutch delay valve and had new gearbox oil put in - it seems the last thing I haven't tried is the gearknob!

It's the combination of weight being 1/2 kg of steel and the reduction in height. The pic below shows a comparison when I fitted one to my last Z3 - difference is pretty much the same to the stock Z4 knob.

Got to agree with this knob, have one in the Z3 and it’s a massive difference.
It’s heavy, could double up as a self defence weapon!
Handily it screws on to the shaft so no more gearknob flying off in your hand which can happen!

Sounds great, thanks for the tip guys. I have a mate with that gear knob and he's recommended it as well. I currently have the ZHP which is shorter than stock anyway, but not that heavy I suppose. I wonder if it'll make much difference from that one?

Hi all,
My first post so thought I'd start off with an opinion piece, what are your favourite 10 mods to do to a Z4 under £100?
Happy to be here, hope you're all having a good new year!
