Customer number two in the Lean-to this morning. Mick (@Retrospective Soothsayer ) brought over his Zed and we changed over the front callipers and pads.
There was definitely a problem with the offside one as the wheel and caliper were red hot, so started on the otherside while it cooled down a bit.
I think the wheel nuts had been last tightened by someone who had an impact driver set for a Scammel lorry.

Thanks to @t-tony for his brake pressure advice, my ‘state of the art’ new pressure tool worked really well and we didn't spill a drop. ( Other than me knocking over the jar when we had finished the bleeding.....definitely a Grumps moment :banghead:

Took some photos. Only noticed when loading the photos, that when Mick was cleaning up the carrier piece
he was also scaring the neighbours=))
Any resemblance between me and a real mechanic is purely coincidental, ( I only put a boiler suit on to make me look like a mechanic, and give Mick confidence that I knew what I was doing:whistle:)

Also while the bonnet was up, plugged the scanner in...........no fault codes :):)

I really enjoyed meeting Mick this morning, and if anyone else local to Bognor would like to make use of the Lean-to facilities, just get in touch.

Top job. Good on you mate. You bought a Grumps drain tray yet?;)=))

Tony.

Great work Malc .
That's a very tidy zed shed b.t.w.

Steve.

Nice work well done

@Bozzy , I can only dream of having a Zedshed.......but that will take a lot more skill and knowledge before that happens....for now I am happy with a Zed Lean-to =))

Hi Malc...thanks soooo much for your help today with my Brakes

I really enjoyed meeting you and thoroughly enjoyed working with you on my car, you def knew what you were doing unlike myself. Yes that o/s caliper was def a bit naughty wasn't it. Anytime you need an extra pair of hands then please let me know & Ill be only too pleased to help you any way I can.

Sorry about scaring the neighbours LOL :-)

You don't do your set up justice, everything is clean, tidy & orderly and I was thinking on the way home how much I would like to have a garage like that (on my wish list).

I am one very happy Zed owner tonight knowing that a very good job has been done and the car seems to pick up quicker too (that will help the MPG...or maybe not ).

Thanks again Malc and also thanks to the forum members who helped guide me on best parts to use etc...

This must be the best car forum on the net

Good to see ZedShed Bognor in full swing

I second this sentiment. It is incredible! Lots of great, funny and generous people with bucket loads of expertise, kindness, and banter thrown in to boot.
