I have some chrome side gills that I have been considering swapping out with the standard silver ones on my 3.0. I have them on the 2.8 palmetto and the look great, but will they look right on the silver 3.0?

Chrome side vents
Wanted these for a while now, someone said they thought the colour code ones were better, so will keep them and see if I like the look of the chrome more, only seem them in the garage under cover so can't really tell yet.

I'm likely in the minority but don't like chrome vents at all. Look tacky to me. 
Everyone can do what they like with their cars. My own personal view is that if Joji Nagashima had wanted to I'm sure he could have included chrome side vents instead of painted ones..I'm sticking with my painted ones as I like them!
What silver- Titan or arctic?

I like it on Titan - Im biased obviously. Also added chrome door handles and rear 3rd light cover. But it is a marmite sort of question
Thanks Bombur. Yeah, I'm not sure if I would need to go full chrome or they may look a bit out of place.
When I first got it, it only had the chrome vents..and I liked it as was. Just added other bits when there were good deals, I didn't plan it really.
My old Z3 came from the factory (Oxford Green) with the “chrome pack” and I added outer door handle, clear side indicators and bumper lights. I like chrome.

I was going to swap them over to see how they looked but I couldn't get the 'stud' next to the bonnet arm out, any ideas?
You say that yoy have the chrome parts already.
In that case it won't cost any money just to swap them out. Keep them for a couple of days and see how you feel. Don't like em? Swap em back.

I like chrome, but I think it looks lost on the lighter coloured cars.

I think chrome and also how much is definitely a matter of personal taste.
Would agree with @Eddie Zedder that suits the darker colours better.
My Orinoco comes with the chrome pack
So windscreen surround and door handles. Also has stainless mesh in side grille instead of black which I like on the dark colour ( not so sure would go as well on the Dakar or Turquoise Green zed)
I have seen a picture of an Orinoco with the chrome side grilles but thought bit much prefer the standard ones as they have some silver in from factory.
So yeah definitely personal taste.

I understood the chrome pack included the outer door handles. When I ordered a new handle for the drivers door I forgot about it , fortunatly the parts (at Cotswold) pointed it out to me after referencing the vin number
Thanks for your input folks, I will put them on but at the moment I'm not sure it would look right without the full chrome pack, like on the ones above, or my green 2.8. We shall see.
