Hi. We live in Spain and have a 1998 Z3, ( Phoebe ) she is in need of a bit of TLC.
Not sure if the U.K club can help, but need to try and source parts more
locally and less expensive than the U.S. There doesn't seem to be anything here in Spain.
We have regular U.K contact for any collections or deliveries, but don't seem to have much luck in sourcing aftermarket parts suppliers. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
Desperately need a dashboard main light switch.
Recently had a bad experience with an E bay seller from who we purchased parts from a scrapper, including the soft top and frame. Hey ho, we paid and the parts have never been sent.
Thanks in advance. Anybody know if there's is any contact in Spain ???

That is very true. And it's not a hollow promise from Ebay/Paypal either as they stick to it in my experience.

I've had several refunds recently (one was Z3 related). In each instance an item didn't turn up, the seller never responded and by default it was found in my favour. If the seller had of responded they would have been required to prove I had received the item otherwise, again by default, they would have found in my favour.

I even had Paypal refund me when I bought something directly and Ebay weren't involved.

Although this is great for the buyer it's why I stopped selling Scalextric (I collect & deal in that hence the forum name) and have never bothered to sell Z3 parts on ebay. You get caught between a rock and a hard place. Charge the buyer for signed for delivery and many won't want to pay for it (especially overseas as it's so expensive). Go with non-signed for to keep the cost down and the buyer has an open playing field to say the item never arrived when in many cases I am quite certain it has. I'm not suggesting the OP or anyone on this forum would do that but people have tried to turn me over with the Scalextric in the past.

I'm not saying I wouldn't use Ebay at all to sell as I occasionally do. But it's normally for cash on collection only.

And I use it to buy all the time.

Anyhow, plenty of Z3 spares from my 2 breakers are available. I will send to Spain but as above it would be signed for only and that won't be cheap, especially for a heavy part.
