Tired of listening to the cooling fan!!

So after 12 months of z3 ownership and initially happy with the constant sound of the cooling fan staying on due to the knackered viscus coupling, it is time to rid myself of the constant drone and replace for new!!

So one for you guys that have been through this process, Should I just replace the coupling OR is there more I should do whilst I have the fan off ?

I am looking forward to just listening to the 2.8 growl out the back.

Whilst your in there consider putting on new water pump and thermostat and belts especially if you don't know their history.

While you're in there have a good look at the fan itself, they have been known to dismantle themselves spontaneously.
