Hi friends, so I have a 2000 roadster, and I have acquired a set of beautiful bmw rims for a great price, ( free)... They are 17x8, my question is, will they fit on my car, a.nd what tire size will be needed... Thanks in advance for the help.

So... Would a 225 45 17 tire fit comfortably on a 2000 z3?
Does anyone have any input?
Thanks

Ok on the front but you can go wider on the rear.

Tony.

Thanks t-tony.. how wide on the rear?

Sorry for late reply, different time zone. My Z3 had 265/35 x 17 on rears.

Tony.

Thanks for the reply... I'm not sure if this helps, but here is a few pics... I'm heading to the tire shop to investigate further

The gentleman at the tire shop says 225 45 17.... Chinese knockoffs... Lol

I/we had that same discussion with Zedonist (Rich) when he was on here. He said the Chinese only made parts to order. If cheap was ordered, cheap (and nasty) is what you got Then again, he was full of . . . . .

Tony.

Here's hoping that cheap Chinese wheels are better than the cheap Chinese tyres I've come across in the past. Nothing against the Chinese, but there's often a reason why things are cheap.
At least I got a warning on mine. 9/10 for honesty.=))
