Found a moderately priced 2.2 near me that was worth the effort to go for a test drive. First test drive I've ever done where the car hasn't made it back to the garage...

I think the picture says it all... :(

Very much so. I had just stopped behind a car which was turning right off the main road. Thought I would give it "the beans" pulling away, and that was the result. I pulled in to a farm entrance a bit further along to see if I could identify the bits left on the road. Nothing obvious so assumed it was under tray or wheel arch liner.

Noticed the smell of cooking engine a mile or so down the road. Stopped again, opened the bonnet and that was the photo I took. Salesman drove over to pick me up, and drove it back...
