Thermostat

good afternoon peeps, another question for you guys. I want to change my thermostat does it come as a complete unit or can you just change the stat inside the housing ? Any recommendation for brand or best from BMW ? I think it's due replacement as it doesn't hold constant temperature it gets cooler on the move. Help greatly appreciated

Hi, the new thermostat comes in a housing with sensor & seal. Easy job to fit, remove the viscous fan (left hand thread) and it's then easily accessible. About 45 mins max. Don't forget to bleed system.

It's worth changing the housing, they do crack with age...
