Is now sold. So I have a pretty large cheque and a bit of a heavy heart. I do hope the new owner enjoys it as much as we have.

No regrets as I like a change every now and then and I've got a car that I've owned for many years finally at the end of it's restoration. I've also bought an old Porsche that I'll do some work on.

I have a little picture video on my pc at home, so I thought I'd share it. Sadly the quality is not the same as on my pc, but I hope you enjoy it. The song is one of my favourites and we used to play it in the car all the while.

Regards to all

:-)

Sorry to hear this, but variety is the spice of life!

I won't have mine forever, I've changed my mind.

Good luck Nick, hope you hang around on here.

Well, Well Nick that's a sad tale, but on the bright side you've found something else to interest you. After all none of us actually own a car for long, at the end of the day we pass it on to another generation one way or another. At least you can say, "I owned a Z8".

That's the truth, very few of us others will ever get to say, I had a Z8. Enjoy the new toy Nick. Keep us posted please.

Great looking car, video and good music to complement! Enjoy your Porche and the future car you purchase to replace the Z8! :)

Lying pig! You so will then!!

Very kind comments from you all, thanks. With all things we move on and you can only drive so many cars. I liken it to moving house. You always take that last look around before you finally turn the key in the door. You then head off to pastures anew. But you also have a soft spot for the old place as it holds the memories. When I look at that video it brings back some great times and holidays. Very happy days meandering around France & Spain.

Sorry, no pics of the Porsche to show as it's in mid atlantic at the moment. I bought it in the States. I'll wait until I've got it finished before I post anything. At the minute it's just an old Porsche ;-)

If I get time tonight I'll upload my older cars pics that I've been restoring as I have a similar video of that. You might like it if you go for older cars. We're about a month away from finishing it.

Here you are.

It's a 1949 car that was exported to Brazil and then raced there through to the 50's. The magazine article is about when it was a "Barn Find" in 1997. Someone then did a filler and runaway restoration. I then bought it and we are about a month away from having it finished.

Eeerrr, actually no I don't. I needed the space as I hadn't sold the Z8 and was going to get it back so I placed an ad one night and sold it the next day about 2pm. My phone was red hot.

I am BMWless I'm afraid.

An outcast.

The good news is I now have a space left in the garage and don't know what to fill it with, so I'm looking and winters on it's way. A great time to buy a sports car!

:)

What a beautiful looking car and some equally brilliant pictures, loads of fond memories there. I'm sure you willcreate some more memories along the way now with the new project and keep us up to date.
