Phoenix Yellow - the best colour BMW ever sprayed on to a car... without exception.

I will own a PY E46 M3 at some stage in my life....

Each to their own I suppose "Banana Man" comes to mind:

Not my cup of tea, stick on rim protectors:whistle: Yuch spoils the wheels, but as I said we are not all the same.

I do like the Dakar Yellow though but would never buy one.

Years ago my brother had a mk2 Cortina, which he painted bright yellow and it was known locally as the GT banana or the yellow peril!

yes, but they are all from the 70's. Brown was popular then as well!

nearly bought a Daytona yellow mk1 Mexico for £200 in the mid 80's. Walked away 'cos it needed a bit of work! Doh!

I had a Morris Marina TC Coupe in 1976. Gosh I was proud of that car. It drove really well and for its day was very fast. the colour was yellow with dark blue vinyl seats. I drove to Chalon Sur Saone in it, my first ever drive abroad. Over 600 miles in one day including the ferry crossing. Driving the autoroutes at 100MPH and more.

Sorry about the image it is one I filched off the media slightly darker colour than mine, but you get the idea.

Yes @t-tony, but just remember your works van had the single carb engine, the MGB engined Marina developed 108 BHP and loads of Torque. The top speed by today's standards was not great 115-120 MPH on a good day. The Marina was considered to be faster that the MGB as the body was lighter.

I've had two yellow cars over the years. My first car was a Bronze Yellow Mini Clubman and the a few years later when a Dolomite had drained me dry I had a yellow fiesta.:)
