I had a play with one of these yesterday, I can only describe it as epic. I love my little Z3 but but the F430 was in a different league: 0-60 3.9 seconds, 483 BHP. Words cannot describe just how well it handles. We pulled out of the pit lane and my instructor shouted "FLOOR IT". My god, it fizzed and popped in my hands and just came alive. I pushed it as hard as I dare but I'm sure it had more to give, I wish the traction control was off. This however was not epic: A LOVELY looking car and sounds great (it was the V8) but the steering was like stirring a pudding and the gearbox was horrific. The flappy paddles were on the steering wheel rather than the steering column, very confusing! Also, the "manual" mode wasn't manual, if you accelerate too hard it kicks down. After 4 laps I was starting to miss my Z3.
You have had a play in a few things this week pete is it ya birthday Looks like you have had a brill few days bill
The driving day was a birthday present from back in March, the Jaguar thing was just a one of. I can thoroughly recommend the driving day, extremely good fun. It suprised me how fast you are allowed to drive the cars. Really good value at 99 quid, here is a link: http://www.everymanracing.co.uk/super-car-driving-experience-days
I'll be there, not sure if Gill can make it. I wouldn't miss one of Jims cruises, they are always superb :-bd
With everything you've been up to recently it looks like you are trying to complete your bucket list Nor I, the last one was the only cruise I've been on that's had a round of applause at the end ^^
Not a bucket list Gary, I'm adopting a playboy type lifestyle. Tonight I had steak for tea, tommorrow I'm going wake boarding with Tom Cruise and on Monday I'm selling the kid to buy an F430. :-bd
