Hello all, I just joined and live in Surrey BC Canada. I have two Z3's, a very nice 98 and a parts car that is fully functional but was a flood victim and thus could not be insured. I was thinking of racing it but that is not in the cards now.
The idea to rebody it and then get it on the road again was also given to me by an old acquaintance who know how to do that. It would be very easy if it were a different car. Such as the replica Ferrari SWB 250 that I found on a web site called Nubodi. In 2016 there was a thread posted about the guy and in 2018 he was mentioned again. I sent an email but after 42 hours google says the mailbox is full. I have not tried phoning and the site does not show an address.
Anyone know anything about the place? Eg: http://nubodi.moonfruit.com/koupe/4594186229

Thanks

Hi,

That website should have been shut down as the owner of that business retired.

There is another company that sells and builds Z3 rebody kits called ClassicCoachWorks and they are the official agents for that type of kit. I have a Kobra (Cobra-ish) Kit from the same kit manufacturer.

Their website is :

https://www.classiccoachworks.org/

Please note that due to challenges with the original manufacturer of the 250 SWB that model is not advertised as for sale currently. That said things change frequently so it is worth sending either Ian or Belinda at that company an email.

I believe there is a new model coming soon that is a bit Aston-like which might be of interest too. If you do make contact tell them DaveP sent you :)

Nubodi was a build agent/reseller and are no longer in business.
Go Direct although he does have a new build agent.

Chris is the owner and is very helpful, he has shipped many kits across the pond as well as Oz and NZ.

There is an active kit forum with a Tribute forum but Chris is not involved with it, you will have to contact him through his website. The Madabout site will tell you all the info you need.
It really is the best thing to do to a Z3

Thanks I found that site after a while. Internet problems.

I have sent some emails and we shall see. The Pound CDN$ exchange rate is not so bad right now.

It may be possible to get yourself a 250SWB, but it would have to be via personal contact with individuals.

Companies won't touch it, as there are threatening letters flying about and there is no way that a small cottage industry can compete with a Formula One team.

I suggest that you contact Classic Coachworks. They are very friendly, but can be a bit of a nightmare to get hold of.

If you PM me your email I can pass it on to the administrator.
They have been hit by hackers and disabled the signing up at the moment.

It looks that way Sean which is a shame. When the Aston images come out one of us will share links etc (still in development).
