Reading through various cars manuals that I've owned, I've found mention about brake force display where the amount of brake light area increases with force of braking. What is the use of telling this to the owner? Shouldn't manufacturers issue this to all the other road users...
or is it just me

What other gems are there?

The way this is displayed is by varying degrees of light coming from the rear tail lights .... informing other road users

so quite useful. just like the auto hazards on fast deceleration


useless car things = the current trend towards mini SUVs
 
I can beat all of the above - cars that drive themselves:eek: how pointless is that. what will car forums do when we all have these, they can probably fix themselves too, now if I could get one to do my daily work then I would be interested.
 
Indicators on modern cars. Very few seem to use them unless all 4 corners are on as “ magic” parking lights to abandon the car in everybody’s way!
Old man stumbles back to his Z3 parked on double yellows with hazard lights flashing away. (Not really)
 
No sorry, I was trying to say that explaining it in the manual to the driver is daft unless that driver is following the same car

Sorry, I was trying to say that explaining this useful feature to the driver, in the manual, was useless unless that driver was following the same car
 
I see what your saying now, abit like the - does my bum look big in this, why does it matter you don't have to look at it.
