That's it, 3 years and whoosh, gone :woot: where did that go? Czech Republic tomorrow for 3 weeks, 2 weeks in Paris to wrap up La Pad and work then back to Sellafield for something different and more importantly, home to the family, which is nice

Retirement is a vexing quandary mate, we all look forward to it and want it to come, but early though and certainly not in your 70's like some poor buggers, less those that live to work! I'm firmly in the work to live (And retire early camp). Oh, happy days inbound mate :D
 
Blimey Andy, that's a lot of travelling. I thought I got around a bit when I was working. Of all the places I went to, I have to say the Czech Republic was my favourite. Used to go to Brno every couple of months. Good food, good beer and the girls are stunning. Took MrsW there for a long weekend once. We hadn't been there more than an hour when she looked around at the all the tall, blond young girls and said 'No wonder you like coming here' Busted....

I got the opportunity to turn my badge in two years ago at 59. Don't regret it at all, although I do miss the techical challenge now and again. As you say, it's nice to be in the position to be able to choose when you stop.
