We had a meet there last year through @koolflyer. It was a good day. She coasted around the grounds so be nice to see her up in the air.

That's a fact mate. Took me a whole week to get over whatever it was. Mark's V8 was behind me for some time on the motorway. I felt the urge to go nice and slow (ish).

Is this a private restoration that a guy is funding in memory of his brother and his father who saw active service in WW2 ? I saw something on the tv recently and the timeline for completion fits with the plans

It is this plane Garry. It once adorned the gate at RAF Scampton years ago before they bought it. Don't know who is funding the full rebuild mate.

Originally the two brothers were personally funding it in memory of their father, but one brother recently died so the remaining brother says he will now see it through. It was on TV last night, I saw it on the news when I got to my digs.
