Apologies just realised I posted the wrong photos - anyway I ordered a new aerial grommet and top brake light gasket yesterday and Sytner contacted me this morning to say the parts had arrived.
So I walked in to their £20m retail site in Sheffield earlier paid the princely sum of £13.07 and walked out a happy man - here's the before and after photos I meant to post of the grommet which made me even happier =))

Hiya very timely for me..Just purchased a beautiful 2002 Z3 3.0 and the only thing that lets it down is the aerial gromit which looks very like the one you have just replaced..can you take me through what I need to do in order to replace this piece of rubber? Thankyou !

OK I've got my bolster and chisel and hacksaw at the ready if somebody could advise where to start..I've also nicked one of the wife's coat hangers as a reserve.

There comes a time when you just have to put on your big boy pants, walk into the dealer and put your money down.View attachment 239301
. . . and may your next sh*t be a scabby hedgehog.

Edit: . . .and now I see what you really bought. Above mentioned statement about hedgehog still stands though - for making me green for a few minutes.

Am I the only one who saw the first upgrade and thought "not for me"? Of course my zed is an heirloom from my departed father and has only 7K miles, but I'm hoping it never gets replaced in my lifetime. Also hoping my son lives to a ripe old age and is still having 3 pedal fun with it 60 years from now. A tall order, but the rush song "Red Barchetta" comes to mind.
