With so many great musicians (and drummers!) now no longer with us, who would you choose to be in your ideal supergroup? Let's say up to a maximum of six members, and any genre.
Anyone up for this?

Wow, this thread has really taken off! It's a wonder the site doesn't crash with so many folks trying to reply to it!=))
 
Read my lips, (and my thread) it can be funk, soul, jazz, blues, folk rock, sheep rock......................come on guys I'm getting desperate!:arghh:
 
One direction?!

Dave grohl - drums (foo fighters)
Dan auerbach - guitar (black keys)
Mark foster - vocals, keyboards (foster the people)

& a bassist...

They are all sort of from the same genre but probably wouldn't make a great band :)

Aye, there's the rub. Lots of fine musicians and vocalists to choose from, but getting them to mesh in a band.

Of course, The Jimi Hendrix Experience are playing lots of gigs to the angels! Glad I caught one of their earthly gigs, in Liverpool around 1969.
