That "Love Bug" time of year.

These bugs appear twice a year, around now and again in September to multiply. They're very numerous this year and cars are covered and they stick like stuff to a blanket. Local car washes are very busy as the insides of these things cause bad damage to paintwork. They don't show so much on dark coloured cars.

Hard job keeping the screen clear even using the stuff supplied at fuel stations.
Applied some glass cleaner and used the wash/wipe then gave it another coat ready for auto rinse.

Do you remember thirty years ago, we used to have cars covered like that in the UK? Big swarms of bugs and moths at night all heading for your car. Hardly any now.

Yak. Went to my mum's yesterday for tea and took Reggie. 18 mile round trip and fly swats everywhere
