Hi.. I have an X reg (2000 ) black Z3 2.2 manual and the air bag warning light has just come on ,please could someone give me some advice as to how i can turn this light off on my dash board.many thanks Cath.

It will need a tool to turn it off it may just be a loose connection under a seat a code read will point it out the tool is probably cheaper to buy and then do it your self than paying a garage.
As said loads of us with the tool someone may be close

Hello from Truro. The most common cause is a loose plug under the seat. It's best to check to check with a code reader though. I tried a code reader on my car and it said "passenger seat occupancy emulator" but I just disconnected the connectors under the seat and then re connected them. I then used a reset tool to make the light go out. It's been fine since. That's not to say that yours will be as easy to sort.

I have a reset tool and if you ever find yourself near Truro and I'd be happy to try to help you

Hi Cath,

As mentioned above, but with a specific tool. The B800 Air Bag reset tool will scan for faults and then give you a lookup table to see what the issue is. You can try resetting it, and see if the code comes back. Bargain at £16!

Thanks for your comments... But the hard top only went on last weekend, don't worry though, it will be coming off in July for the summer only..And then back on for the winter.

Leave her alone you bully, I did not take my hardtop off for the first three years.....
Car looks better with it on IMHO.
