Thanks for accepting me!
I just bought a 2005 Z4 3.0 6speed manual. It has 105,000 miles.i bought it a month ago and I love it! Its Fairly well kept. The convertable top motor is going out but I've already found how to replace it. I've found many you tube videos on these cars and still exploring. I'm about to replace the brittle reservoir tank and the thermostat.
Any help or input is greatly appreciated as I'm still learning about Z4s . (This is my first)
I'll be reading all the posts and maybe asking questions. I'm a nuclear equipment operator so I'm fairly smart and can understand systems and circuits. Thanks again for the add, it's great to have this community to discuss. I hope to help new owners in the future.

Tip
Update your location in your user details so we know where you are located, there may be members near to you who can offer assistance if required. Also detail your model saves having to repeat when posting.
Arm your toolbox with a decent code reader if you don't already have one, it will come in useful and avoid having to resort to a garage and their charges to scan the car when problems arise. Can reccomend a Creator 310+ or 410+ for your year of car available on ebay and Amazon for circa £50. You will also need a 20pin to 16pin Cable adapter to plug the scanner into the 20pin round diagnostic socket in the engine bay. The 16pin OBD2 socket under the steering wheel only reads the engine and gearbox modules. The round 20pin socket reads all modules on the car. Cable available on ebay.

I am in Granbury , Texas USA . My Z4 is 2005 model. It has the 3.0i V6 engine and a 6 speed manual transmission. I bought it a month ago. Here are some pictures of it.

Ok so a Z4, no need for the 20 pin to 16pin cable as yours has just the 16pin obd2 socket inside the car, code reader will plug into that.

Also it's a straight 6 not a Vee 6. A very nice car too, like my previous Z4 and the same colour. Enjoy.
