I haven't as yet but it gets cracking right ups and it's on my to do list along with my neighbour who is a really good mechanic and he wants to take his 325 conv along at the same time. If he rates it I'll go with that. He really knows his stuff. If you go ahead with it please report back.

Was speaking to @Steven Bostock if i remember correctly at the meet this weekend. Steven said he had just put his 1.9 through it to see if it would help with his rough idle although unfortunatly it didn't it did half his emmissions and he advised the car was far snappier in the throttle response after.
Im sure he will be along soon and advise....

Would be interested to learn more of the benefits of this before I shell out over £100 plus.. I wonder if a company would do a group deal for a few of us ? Might be worth asking ..

Sorry Govenor it wasn't me i don't have 1.9,mine is a 2.8. I would be interested to know if this terraclean improves things as Sean said £100 or so is a lot to fork out so you'd hope it was worth it.

Are you sure that wasn't @Dobbo Ant? He has a 1.9 , I think Steve's is a 2.8.

Tony.

I must admit it sounds very attractive and it can find some of my lost ponies it may be worth it ! May ask a few questions, removing the deposits from a 15 year plus engine will have benefits but will there be any downside to it ?
May give them a call and see what they say...

Well it's supposed to just be a cleaning process. So I don't think it would do any harm. I am though just on the fence regarding worn items that may come to light ...

Thats my thought too carbon builds up and seals things i suppose removing it after a long period may create problems.
Questions to ask for sure.....

Hi Paul, I did see Edd use it on Wheeler Dealers but I can't for the life of me remember what car it was on. I have no personal experience of it either but I would be careful using something like that on a very high mileage car I think.

Tony.

It was a Jag XK8 Tony. Halving the emissions sounds good on mine, having trouble getting it through the mot at the minute.

Hi all,

Sorry for late response, very busy at work and just got in.

It was me!

I had it done in Worksop last Friday, took about an hour.
Definite change in engine note and snappier response etc.
Cleaned up emissions also.

Terra clean website pretty good and will show nearest place to you.
Fixed prices for up to 2.0 or bigger so no worries of varying prices and being overcharged.

Thanks for that Simon, how is the idle, any different?

Tony.
Yes - Worse!!

Was no different or if anything slightly better after the Terraclean so I went on digging.

Removed DISA valve and then activated it with the INPA software. Motor activated but not flap movement. On inspection what looks like a diaphragm is split so new one required.
£199 later from Sopers I thought finally would of cracked it.
Changed it over after work last night, started car and lovely smooth idle for all of 30 seconds and then worse than ever, bordering on stalling now.

Switched of engine and came inside! Done nothing more with it.
Will plug in INPA when I get time and clear adaptions and codes and then take it for a drive to see if it needs to re learn but not hopeful.
Then back to the hunt.

Gut is thinking Cam sensor as I'm now getting random misfire codes across all cylinders but I do not get a code for the sensor.

Unfortunately it is now starting to put me off the charts!
Even had it in local garage last week and they found no fault. Recommended injectors out and cleaned but really not convinced this will help anything except emptying the wallet a little more.
