Tension Rope For Soft Top

I have a couple of unsecured anchors in the “Tension Rope for Soft Top” assembly, one on each side of my 2000 Z3 2.3 roadster that sometimes dangle down over the windows. It looks like they’re supposed to be screwed to something forward of the hinge where they attach. I can’t seem to find out where and how?

The cord goes through the hole in the triangle shaped part and secures to the spring that will also be hanging around. Se photos.

Thanks! it’s the triangle shaped part itself that I need to secure. Is it held by a screw and washer from the opposite side? I can see a bit of something round in your picture

The triangle part moves. Put the thread through the hole that it is sitting right next to in your photo.

Ok I understand it slides back and forth but something must secure it? Mine looks like the picture. It’s threaded but nothing attached. It would fall right out if the slot again

I put it in the slot but it fell out again. There must be something screwed into the opposite side to keep it there.
