Hi Gents - My 1.9 Z3 (M43B19 engine) has just developed a temperature gauge fault. As soon as I turn on ignition the gauge needle sweeps right across to the far right as far as it will go, past the red zone.
Car is not overheating, it drives fine with no issues.
Any ideas the first thing I should check?
Is it most likely to be the engine coolant sensor?
Also - which sensor actually communicates with the gauge - I think it's the engine coolant sensor which hides underneath the inlet manifold on my vehicle - would that be the one?
Would appreciate any advice, thanks.
Pete
