Tapered camber plates

Has anyone used them, it only occurred to me today that we used to use them on our Opel Manta rally car with a cosworth rear axle, I am considering getting some made to adjust the rear negative camber, they sit behind the hub, and are tapered,

I can't see where you could fit these on a Z3 Sean. Did the Manta have a bolt on hub bearing housing which bolted to the hub carrier, if so you could put this between those two items but the Z3 bearing is pressed into the hub carrier if remember correctly?

The rear swing arms are one piece the camber is caused at the pivots to the beam in this case the plates wouldn't work

These bushs are the only way you could dial it out a little but its only by 1°
Other than welding in a kit.

Cheers guys, thats put pay to that idea, the bushes might be worth a go as 1 degree could be the difference

Sean, have you thought about replacing the rear subframe bushes? Granted your lowered it, but given its a fixed geometry that shouldn't change the tyre wear much. Oh and I did the job on axle stands!

So does raising the diff using revshift +12mm bushes and diff spacers

That should give 1.4 degrees of improvement but will cost over £200

Forgot about the raised diff bush - did you ever fit them?

Fitting them in early June when I drop my rear subframe
Wondering if this PLUS the welded in kit give 0 camber when the car is lowered?
Assuming 0 is desirable but expect it wants a bit bit as these cars dial in more as you lean I guess it depends on how much travel there is...getting technical!

Not sure but I think the more contact patch for the entire travel of the suspension is what you want.

I would replace the beam bushes @Sean d and go from there, Your exerting more force lowering the car on a already tired component.

Then get the camber re measured and see if you want to fit camber adjusters or not.
